Okay this is doable for sure. I've done it before. There's a few steps
though.
1. In your 'flat file' where you type in all the fields like Fax etc. You
need to make TWO Fields for each field the user types in.
Make the following Fields;
Label1
Contact1
Label2
Contact2
You can change the names once you know what you're doing... This is just how
I set it up. stands for space btw.
In your Rules, Base your rule off the 'HidePhoneNumberLabel' And Rename it
to 'Label1Space' and put in the following rule
if (Field("Label1") == "")
return "";
else
return Field("Label1")+' ';
Do the same for another rule Called, 'Label1Space' but you have to change
this rule slightly because this involves the slash
if (Field("Label2") == "")
return "";
else
return ' / '+Field("Label2");
NOW
Back in your Text box where these numbers are going to appear with no spaces
inbetween your fields insert
<<Label1Space>><<Contact1>><<Label2Space>><<Contact2>>
Select all your fields within the text box, click 'Paragraph...' Check off
'Suppress if - Empty' and 'Do not break on copyfit'
The usual, compose, collect, upload.
Once you've uploaded your template Change the Label1 fields to Drop Down
menus and put Cell and Fax as options in the dropdown.
This way the user can make the decision if they want the cell or the fax
number first.

I'm new to FusionPro and have BCs that I'm trying to set up with phone
numbers that are formatted like this:
fax number / cell number
Some times there's a fax and cell, or just a fax or cell or neither. So if
there's no fax number I need to get rid of the word fax as well as the
slash.
