Are you referring to the Web DataCollect (Define HTML Form) dialog? If so, the XML file only contains the definitions of the fields, prompts, and possible choices for drop-down lists. There's no HTML form until you apply an XSL transformation to the XML. The HTML form you see when you click Preview Form is merely an example; it's built by applying two XSL transformations (DLWebCollect.xsl and validate.xsl) and combining the resulting generated HTML with some other boilerplate HTML. The supplied XSL transformations are merely examples; you need to customize them to make the HTML form appear and validate the way you want it. A full explanation of this is beyond the scope of this forum.
