This might be old school but it works..
I build a formatted resource with the space and the Lname,
Then I create a rule:
if (Field("LName").toLowerCase() != "".toLowerCase())
    return Resource("RESLName");
else
    return "";


Then I click on suppress when empty in the text editor.
