Hi Alex,

Not as far as I know....I'm using the pre-defined rule in FusionPro and have
not changed anything...but I just realized that the field name has a "+"
sign....That right there could be the cause...I don't know why I didn't
catch that last night...I'm going to change that now and see if it makes a
difference.

Hello Lisa,
Is there a "-" in the data string?

Subject: [fusionpro] Creating a Postal Barcode using the PostNet Barcode
Rule

Hi all,

I am trying to generate a postal barcode by using this rule. I am using my
ZIP+4 field as the field to generate the barcode from and I am trying to get
the rule to compute the checksum digit only when I check the barcode the
checksum digit is incorrect.

My customer also provided me with a separate field for the checksum digit so
I tried using this field as the second field to generate the barcode but
when I save and preview the rule trying this option, the barcode is broken
up into two separate barcodes on the same line and they are completely
incorrect.

I've never had a list supplied to me like this before. Usually we have the
lists presorted in house, our mailing software creates the checksum digit,
and all I do is use my "barcode" field (that we create) to create the
barcode. This is a pre-sorted list provided by one of our customer's mail
houses and it has a ton of data in it so I can't really mess around with the
list.

Has anyone else run into this?
