Hi, I'm trying to accomplish a copyfit for some tent cards. My db has 2 fields (line1 and line2). Both are all caps. I want to copyfit and expand to fit but I'm having trouble with leading. I can't use auto leading b/c it's too much space. I tried experimenting with space above and below settings, but apparently those can't be negative values?
My copyfit settings are for max font size of 200 pts. My base settings are font size 110 pt. and leading at 104 pt. (since it's all caps with no descenders, I need tighter leading than auto). I've tried a rule with custom leading settings but so far it works for most, but not all, of my records. When I have short names in line 1 and line 2, I wind up with a larger font size as desired, but the leading causes the 2 lines to overlap on top of each other. On the other hand, for some records where I have a short line1 and long line2 it results in smaller text with large leading so I have a big gap b/w the 2 lines. Most records work quite nicely and fit the text area well, but the ones that don't fit are a real problem.
