Most likely the font.
Try some things: 1. If you are using Mac OS X and if you have FontDoctor (at one time it came free with Suitcase), use the 'Clean Font Cache Folders' command. If you don't have FontDoctor then go to www.versiontracker.com, do a search for 'font cache' and download and install either Font Finagler or FontNuke. You'll need to restart your computer immediately after running either of these programs. Then relaunch Acrobat and FusionPro and try again. (Make sure you load your fonts first) 2. In Acrobat, make sure 'Use Local Fonts' is selected (under the 'Advanced' menu) 3. In FusionPro, select FusionPro | Advanced | Load Fonts. Then quit and relaunch both Acrobat and FusionPro, recompose and check your output again 4. If you use Suitcase with Mac OS X there is a command called 'Manage System Fonts'. I believe Garamond is one of the default fonts that comes with OS X so it may be conflicting with the version of Garamond you are using. BEFORE you do this, download and read this document from Extensis: http://dl.extensis.com/downloads/SC/EN/P/Fonts_Best_Practices_in_OSX.pdf 5. Just replace with a different font. You can use a different version of Garamond or a similar font. -- Eric Carbone Systems Administrator MOR Printing, Inc -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, March 28, 2008 9:16 AM To: FusionPro Users Forum Subject: [fusionpro] Problem with pdf output on fusion pro desktop I'm working on a business card in fusion pro desktop. There are a bunch of variable data fields and we combined it with a database. For the name we are using garamond premier pro. When we compose to pdf's a the font on a few names is getting messed up. For instance we have a name John B. Badal. The last name will shift over and the 2 b's will be on top of each other. It's only happeining on a few names. Anyone have a similar problem? You think it's that font? Any possible solutions? Thanks in advance. Devin +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- FusionPro 5.0 Now Available!
