I am trying to understand how FusionPro defines and establishes color plates.
If I create a PDF file that is CMYK and one or two color plates, why does FusionPro not recognize the existence of those plates and present those plates in the color dialog box? When I attempt to use the FusionPro interface to create color plates, even though I name the color exactly as the existing plate, the vendors RIP sees them as two separate plates. I have asked them to RIP plate A & B into plate C, but this slows down their workflow, and of course, I am looking to understand what I am doing wrong and fix it.
