Hi Devin,
The Replace Substring is easier to understand than the Javascript pattern
search. Enter it something like this:
Text = Field("Field Name")
Text = ReplaceSubstring(Text, "1", "<f name=\"Helvetica\">1</f>");
return Text
Be sure to check the "treat returned strings as tagged text" box. This will
replace all of the number 1s with the font change tags around it. You can
place any formatting tags you need in front of the character being replaced,
such as tracking, color, size, or anything you would need to do to vary the
look of the number 1. Just be sure to undo any changes immediately following
the 1 in the last part of the statement to put the formatting back.

We are workign on a business card in fusion pro. We've had some
complaints that the number 1 in the font they use looks like the letter L.
We are changing just the number 1 to a different font. I was wondering
if we could have a rule that whenever the number 1 appears in this certain
font, it will change automatically to say helvetica?
Does anyone have any experience with this?
