You could either open file with Excel and change the whole columns format to what you require.

Or if, as you mentioned, you have the Plus as it's own column... create a new rule with the following.

return FormatNumber("0000", Field("Plus"));

Then insert the Rule into your text field as needed.

Ok, this is what I have found out. The csv file has the four digits in
it, but excel and FP does not display/ print it. It treats the cell of
field as text. Right??
I have n tried a tab delimited file with no avail.
How do I tell FP that it is a number field and then format it as for
digits?
No one is responding to my previous post almost 5 hours ago. I am behind a
deadline here. Please respond.
