Hello Pete,
If the graphic file names correspond to the field values, then you should only
need one rule for each field in the data which specifies a
graphic, without having to add any Resources to the job. You should be able to
do something like this in a Graphic JavaScript rule:
return CreateResource(Field("graphic 1") + ".jpg");
In this example, a field value of "A1" would result in the graphic "A1.jpg".
Obviously you will need to modify this to match the exact
file names. You could also put the graphic file names, with extensions,
directly into the database fields, which would allow you to simplify the
JavaScript logic even more:
return CreateResource(Field("graphic 1"));
You may need to set the Search Path on the Advanced tab of the Composition
Settings dialog to specify the location of the graphic files.

I have a lot of .jpg files that a customer would like us to call in variably.
My only problem is that the names of these files a very large and are being
truncated when loaded in the Resources library. For my graphic rule to work I
need the names of the files to be exactly the way the customer named them. Any
help would be appreciated.
