I found an old post by Bradford Mather, where he stated he output to PS and
it did embed the fonts. I tried this and it worked, however, I then have to
compose, and then distill VERY large files which is taking up even more
valuable production time. Is there any reason that fonts will be embedded
in PS files but not PDF files? Seems to me that this is a fault in Fusion
Pro, and a patch could potentially fix this issue. Thoughts?

Thanks Mike, that does help explain the symbol font issues.

I have another job posing the same font issue though. This time it is a
common font not embedding. The font and related fonts in the family are
"CourierNewPSMT". Printable, any idea why Fusion Pro wil not embedd this
font?

Carl

My first guess would be that the font has an inappropriate permission bit
for embedding into a PDF, but upon a little further research, I found an
Adobe Forums post that discusses a potential issue:

Hope this is of some use.
