Henry,
I believe you can create a template with a static background ie the
non variable images or text boxes and upon composition have FusionPro
suppress all non-variable data in the template leaving only the variable
fields you would want. There are some other ways of doing this through
javascript but this is the simplest.

Subject: [fusionpro] Deleting FPO image for output
My company is considering using this software but we have a question that
wasn't answered properly by support and I'm curious if anyone here has the
answer.
The way we'd use this is typesetting coupons to be imprinted (in black) on
a 4-color pre-printed shell. We'd use a 4-color FPO image (for position
only) as a background in order to set the coupons in the correct position
but then the FINAL output would need the 4-color image deleted (so only
the imprint info shows).
This is something that can be done in Quark or InDesign quite simply but
we need to know if FusionPro can do it as well.
