Christian,

You would do this in FPImposer. The numbers should be driven by a
data file (Ex: a delimited file containing 1400 records, each record
containing the desired numbers in order). Your description of your project
thus far seems to have done exactly that. Now open up your imposition file
and do the following. Divide 1400 by the number up you want to print. So
1400 / 6 = 233.33333 always round this up to the nearest whole number, 234.
Now under layout, step and repeat you need to have "Stack" listed first
from the drop down. Under count type in 234. The next 2 fields for step and
repeat should be your predetermined horizontal and vertical to make your
imposition layout correct. When you run the document you should have 1-234
in one sector, 235-469 in another and so on and so forth.

I hope that helps and is clear enough.

This is my first project as a new FusionPro user, and I took a quick look
through the board but didn't see my question.

Here's the deal - I have a 1-up pdf ticket which will be numbered
0001-1400. I seem to have figured out how to place the variable text, impo
it 6-up on an 11 x 17 sheet and run 234 sheets. I even added "No. " in
front of the 4 digits, which I also set up. Everything sounds good right?
Here's the question - what about bindery? If I took the 234 sheets and cut
them down, and left the stacks alone, my stack would be i.e. No. 0001, No.
0007, No. 0013, etc. How do I set it up so my stack when cut down is in
order, with 0001 on top of 0002 on top of 0003, etc. (i.e page 1 contains
records 0001, 0235, 0468, 0702, 0936, 1170)??? Is this possible?

Thanks,

Christian J Nuxoll
