This means that the data entered for that particular field in your datafile is too long to fit in the text box you created for that variable.
I usually refer to the log that is generated after composition to find out which records are affected. I then preview that record (or records) in my PDF file and determine what I need to do - maybe make the text box larger and/or generate a copyfit rule so that the entry fits within the text frame.
