Unfortunately, yes, this is something that needs to print variably each
time....There are image selections and all that. Eventually this is
something that will be placed up on the web - I originally posed this
question to the Web to Print forum but figured I'd get more responses here
(and I already have so thank you all!)

We would like to try and avoid doing a work & turn imposition because then
we are paying for extra clicks on our Indigo than if it were a one-sided
job...

Brian: Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately this is not what I had hoped
to hear. My only workaround was to create the actual imposed form as one
large one page PDF with my crop marks and bleed in position. My problem
with this is that this is going to be a template that will be ordered online
by the general public who will more than likely not be familiar with
printing and the processes. If they see an imposed form with crop marks and
the like, they are going to get confused and/or feel that the whole thing is
not professional (we already got feedback on this from a test focus group).
If anyone else chimes in offline I'll be sure to pass along any suggestions
I might get - but I'm already starting to feel pessimistic about a solution.

Looks like I'm in real trouble with this one....

Subject: [fusionpro] Re: Imposition Question

Is this something that needs to print variably every time?

Is there a possibility to make master shells and then print variably on
them?

I ask this because if you have a manually (yuck) imposed file from
Indesign, you then can make a template in fusion pro for the variable
information that needs to print later. On the left you would have the
front and the right would have the backer info or vice versa, a PDF from
indesign can be used to do the variable items/layout that can print using
FusionPro to do the necessary items etc...

This is the only way I can think of being able to do a work and turn for
example.

For the six card version why not break them out into 6 different files and
reprocess all 6 files using the imposition you already have in FP Imposer?

HTH?
