When I have trouble with truncated messages it's when I try to copy and
paste a rule directly into my message.

I've found that if I first copy the rule into my text editor with it set
to show invisibles (I'm on a Mac and use BBEdit), I can then see an
extraneous character at the beginning of the rule (an upside down question
mark). If I remove that character and then copy and paste into the
message, it works and posts the entire message with the rule in it.

I do see plenty of people posting rules, so I don't know if others have
figured out the same thing or if this problem only affects Mac users and
doesn't happen to Windows users, or what. I haven't really seen it
discussed before on this forum.

HTH,
kim
