Hello,

I use Fusion Pro Desktop 4.2P1d Mac OS X 10.4.11 Acrobat 7 Professional.

This particular type of job I am having issues with is a double sided Post
Card that has VDP items on both sides. I also use FPImposer to make this a
4 up PC with 2 pages per record, Stack being infinate with count of 2,
Horizontal 2 and Vertical 2, on 12x18 paper, duplex perfected. I 99% of
the time create a Multi-File VPS from the Compose option. From there this
folder gets copied to the CREO Rip, then imported. What happens to the
file at the RIP is the file does not let the operator of the RIP print a
section of the booklet. Due to a paper jam or even after in Bindery when
cutting etc ... It thinks it is a large booklet and not multiple portions
for each double sided page.

For single sided VDP jobs, where there is only one side having VDP on it
the RIP handels them differently in that the operator can print just a
section. What am I not setting up correctly, or rather what can I output
differently so that the file can be handled differently at the RIP? I
would rather not have to create massivly large files that take forever to
RIP so that the operator can print just one page.

Here is terminology from the operator:
The file ends up as one booklet with 630 pages. The software only allows
me to select which booklet to print, not which page. Thus, I can select
booklet 1 to print, but it prints the entire thing.

Matthew
