Here's what to do: Select the text frame. In the Text Frame palette, click "Overflow". Click on "Adjust text to fit" and then click OK. Then, go the Rules dialog, click on the OnCopyfit rule, and click Edit. In the Rule Editor, on the first line of the rule, change "text" to "leading". Click OK a couple times to save the changes. Then compose or preview and you should see the leading adjust instead of the point size. If you're already using the default copyfitting in another text flow, you'll also need to refer to the section "I want different copyfitting values for different frames" in the Rules System Guide.
