Why not turn off crop marks and just manually mark a template for the cutter?

Yes I agree that if the program states it is just using black, then it should be fixed if it is in fact giving registration. Maybe it is because the file has a process image that FP imposer is adding registration for the marks. So if the job was entirely black does it still give the registration?

I have not had many jobs like this so I know it will be a problem in the future if I begin to use it more frequently. I have not upgraded due to the issues I have seen on this forum. Still using 4.2P1d on Mac OS X 10.4.11

Anyone not having a problem with their upgraded version please contact me so I can feel like informing my employer that the upgrade would be good for us.

We know we can work around it but why should we. The support people here at Printable keep saying that the program only uses Black for crop marks, yet it gets to press and it's 4 color

Use Pitstop to change the registration marks to black only - I know it it just a temporary work around, but it is what i do.
