Unlike other types of resources, Formatted Text Resources are stored
internally in your job template, and do not reference external file
names, so there's no "existence" to verify, other than the presence of
a resource with a particular *resource* name.
The CreateResource (new FusionProResource) function accepts either
"graphic", "plain text file", or "tagged text file" as the type, and
references a file on disk, by file name. It can't reference a
Formatted Text Resource, because there's no external file to load.
The Resource function, on the other hand, can reference any kind of
resource, including Formatted Text. However, the Resource function
references resources by resource name, not by file name. These
resource names are defined in the Resources dialog in FusionPro.
For any type of resource, the Resource function will throw an error if
no resource with the specified name is present in the job. If you
want to test for the existence of a named resource, you can use a try/
catch block to catch the exception, like so:
