Hi Shawn,

You need to inert the span color tag. be sure to change the name of the color and the shading value. Below is how I have inserted it into an email rule. Be sure to check the box "Treat returned strings as tagged text". Good Luck!

if (Field("Email") == "")
  return "";
else
  return '<span color=PANTONE540C shading=60>' + Field("Email");

Does anyone know how to correctly output PMS colors so that when you have
100% of a color on one line and then 50% of the same color on the next
line that it will output this color as 1 color only?
I am finding that it outputs the color as 2 separate colors thus creating
a mapping work around in prepress. I have tried it in both Quark and
InDesign CS2

Thank you in advance,

Shawn
