Jenny, I've had no problems creating PDF files from Word documents and then previewing and composing. As had been mentioned earlier this may be a font issue but to find out for sure we would like to know more about your files. A couple of us at Printable have tried contacting you directly via email to send us some samples but it appears as if our emails are getting blocked. If you could send your files to me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] , I will be happy to take a look at them and see if we can figure out the problem. You can also test on your own for a font problem by creating the files using a common font such as Arial or Times New Roman and see if the problem still occurs. Maybe you accidentally checked the box. I believe it stays checked until you uncheck it. If the box is checked, then all you'll get on your output is the variable (stuff done with FusionPro). This is a nice feature to turn on if say you're using pre-printed shells and want to see the shell in the PDF file for aligning the variable elements with the background, but you don't want to actually print the background.
