If you haven't resolved this yet I would probably downgrade to FusionPro 4. Especially if you are still using Acrobat 6.
I've also experienced the issue with the dots showing up instead of the actual letters. Hopefully printable can fix this soon. And last but not least, I'd say my biggest issue with FusionPro is font embedding.
