Here is how I do it:
Create an OnRecordStart Rule that includes this line -
FusionPro.Composition.SetBodyPageUsage(Field("Version"), true)
Then you just have to go into manage pages> page usage and give your
pages the same name as what they are called in the Version field of the
data.
You can also add another line for a duplex job to select the back side
if that changes with each version as well.
I do that like this:
FusionPro.Composition.SetBodyPageUsage(Field("Version")+ "B", true)
Then the back sides are named the same as the front with the addition of
a B.
Example page names for a duplex job:
Version1
Version1B
Version2
Version2B

What I am looking for is a way to Layer (from a design aspect). I have a
project that has 30 different versions. I would like to have a layer for
each version so that I can see all parts for that version without having
all FP boxes for all version clustered on top of each other. I had a
conference call with a technician before purchasing and they mentioned
they have customers making a multiple page PDF file (one page for each
version) then when printing they call out to use a specific page for a
given record. How would one achieve this.
