I have a client who is wanting 2 of 5 barcodes to be printing on a ticket job, but the barcode area is fairly small in height. When I try to use the 2 of 5 wizard, it creates a very tall barcode, which exceeds the area that the client wants. I can not reduce the size of the text box because I get the red bar indicating text overflow. The artwork does not allow for me to place a white box across the top portion of the barcode to crop it off, either. The only solution I've been able to come up with is to generate the barcodes off line as eps files, and then bring them back in to data driven graphic frames, centering left to right and flush bottom. (This is introducing another whole set of issues. The eps barcodes are converted to pdf during the vdx rendering, but do not show up in the print file. So I am actually doing this in a different variable data software, but I really want to use FusionPro.) I am only working with sample data right now, but when the live data comes in I will have several hundred thousand barcodes. I can tell already that this will take way too long to render all the barcodes and in turn, the vdx data. Is there any possible way to vertically scale the barcode so I can keep the barcodes as text frames without overflowing the text box?
