Hello Chris,
Create an "Empty" text Rule. Change the field name in the first part of the
script to match your data file.
Then insert the Rule name into the text variable where it will appear and appy
the "IDAutomation4State" font.
Use this script
var onecode = Field("Intelligent Mail Barcode"); //Replace "FATD" with
Field("Intelligent Mail Barcode")
onecode = onecode.replace(/F/g,"0"); // replaces all F with 0
onecode = onecode.replace(/A/g,"1"); // replaces all A with 1

Right now I get an output from my mail program that looks like this.

I do see the rule creator however I am not sure how to use it for a text
rule.
I plugged that field in like a normal value and use the font USPS4CB and it
looks like the im barcode generates properly.
Is the way I am describing also a legitimate way of doing it?
When I compose the document using the method above I get an error code of
OneCode Barcode Rule, line 10: warning: The tracking number is not the
correct length of 20 characters in record number 1.
C:\Program Files\Printable\FusionPro\Builtins.js, line 2256: Error: Bad data
from caller.
What does this mean and will it affect my print.

The Intelligent Mail Barcode is available in FusionPro.
The name of the font is "IDAutomation4State" which has been included since
FusionPro 4.2 to it most current 5.1 version.
There is a predefined Rule Template that allows you to configure the barcode
as needed.

Note:
The 4 state is a combination of your own information in your tracking code:
2 digit barcode identifier
3 digit special services code
6 digit customer identifier - that you have to get from the post office
after you get approved
9 digit sequence number and a routing code.
Your 5, 9, or 11 digit zip information.
