I am having an issue with curly quotes and apostrophes disappearing when they are exported from Quark to FusionPro in a text box marked for variable.

I have tried several fonts, all with the same results. Straight quotes (ie. inch and foot symbols) export fine, but curly quotes do not display. There is a space where they should be when previewed in the Variable Text Editor in FuionPro, but in the composed piece even the space is gone.

The same fonts work fine coming from InDesign. Is there a setting in Quark I need to change? Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks for any help.
