I will be creating a template that allows the user to fill in a list of
bulleted points. Currently, they also have sub-bullets, bold and italics
as options on their layout.

It would be a very lengthy process for them to insert each bullet in a
separate text box and use a dropdown menu to select what kind of
formatting they would like to apply to each text.

Is it possible for them to do their formatting in a word processing
program and then save it so that it can be uploaded and filled into a text
box on the template?

Are there any alternative solutions for this challenge?

Thanks for the help.
