You would suppress the field when you build the template.
In the Variable Text Editor, select the variable you want to suppress
then click on the Paragraph button. check Suppress if empty.
If you had:
<<name>>
<<address1>>
<<address2>>
<<city>>, <<state>>, <<zip>>
and the address2 variable was empty, you would get
Bob Smith
123 Any Street
Bigtown, CA, 12345
Lets say you have a slightly different situation.
Here you have other words in each line
Name: <<name>>
Address 1<<address1>>
Suite/Apt <<address2>>
City <<city>>
State <<state>>
Zip <<zip>>
In this case, if you want the whole line "Suite/Apt" to be
suppressed, you would select Suppress if Containing Empty Variables.

It's probably simple, but can someone tell me how to indicate in my template
in the MAILING ADDRESS variable text field how to make sure the space CLOSES
between "Address1" and "Address2" if there is no "Address2"?
Sometimes there will simply be ONE address, and I don't want an empty space
left in the field where the system 'thinks' it should go.
Is this done in the Variable Text Editor? In the Print One Display?
Thanks a bunch. . .
