I'm still a bit of a hack, but this should work.
create a rule like:
//RuleHide2webaddress
// be sure to check "treat returned strings as tagged text" in the rule
editor
if (Field("2phone") == "" && Field("2fax") == "")
return "" ;
else
return Field("2webaddress") ;
Then place the rule in the text editor where "2webaddress" should print,
and be sure to check "suppress if: containing empty variables"
under the "paragraph" button.
