Bill,
I hope that this doesn't confuse you, but if you also want to land that tab
at a location other than whatever is built into FusionPro, then you need to
add some text to your line, so if you say...wanted a tab at 3/8" (.375), it
will instead become:
return '<p tabstops=0;2700,Left,,;>' + 'Tel:<t>' + Rule("PhoneFormatRule") +
'</p>';
Where does the 2700 figure come from you ask??? Well, 1 inch = 7200, so .375
x 7200 = 2700. :)
And again..., make sure that you have the box checked that says, "Treat
returned strings as tagged text" at the top of the editor.

Bill,
At the top of the rule editor check the box that says "Treat returned
strings as tagged text".

Thanks so much but you'll have to pardon my ignorance...
I used your rule with some changes.
> if (Field("Phone") == "")
> return "";
> else
> return 'Tel:<t>'+ Rule("PhoneFormatRule");
When I compose the card, instead of getting:
Tel: 617.625.9874
I get:
Tel:<t>617.625.9874
Instead of a value for the tabstop, I get "<t>" in my pdf.
I assumed that it would get the value for the tabstop (left tab at 1p2) from
the InDesign file.
I'm sure I'm doing something stupid, but if you have any ideas I would
appreciate it.
Again, Thanks for your help.
