exactly what format do I use in my front.pdf to get it to allow the color
background to show through. I have seen this work with some customer
supplied files but have not been able to get it to work with my current
distiller settings, I have also tried a bitmap tif. Any help I can get
here would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Keith,
Try using an Illustrator vector (.eps) file for your graphic resource
that needs to be transparent. As long as you DO NOT Have a large White
box in the .eps file in the back of all the other items it should read
as transparent and only show your graphic. Hope this helps!
