Instead of composing as a PDF, try a VDX, it's a much smaller file and rips a lot faster. When the compose screen pops up, the option is on the first tab, about half way down. There's some other options there as well, incase your printer doesn't handle a VDX. Haven't used anything but VDX and PDF so I don't know anything about the rest. Hope that helps!
