It is my understanding that the problem is Russia is precisely that the
IMF and its cohorts tried to impose its values of entitlement for the
rich and dis-entitlement for everyone else on an already chaotic
situation. In particular, they did everything they could to undermine
the efforts of Georgists to institute a Land Tax, succeeding everywhere
except in Moscow where the Land Tax loving mayor has, I am told,
created an oasis of financial stability amidst the chaos.
