Last night I heard Arthur C.Clark claim that he had seen a dozen
or so sightings and that anyone who hadn't seen at least one was
probably in a city with an overcast. The area where I grew up
in North Eastern Oklahoma is a hot bed of such sightings and I
have seen them as well. But a sighting does not an explanation
make, except to those girls in the car who were pretending to be
scared and we boys who knew there was nothing to fear that
compared to pregnancy. I'm making Jay's point, at least for
adolescents.

What does this have to do with I.A. Richards, Karl Pribram, MosheFeldenkrais and Ilana
Rubenfeld? You were
talking New Age and
I gave you four recognized scholars three of which are considered
New Age but have been pathfinders in Brain Research and psycho-
physical theory.

Yes but there is enough huxterism to go around on this one. Did youread the Chartrand
material I sent?

I agree with you on much of this, however I have seen some intelligencein the system.
Consultants often
are helpful by virtue of their distance
and the economists who think in systems that transcend the normal
retail bias often have some useful things to say. There is an economist
at the National Endowment of the Arts that I have found quite helpful. I
also feel the same about the economists on this list, who have been
very duck like when I have rained on their parade. That has allowed me to
do serious thinking on many occasions for which I am grateful.

I agree but I do believe the fragmentation is deliberate and provesuseful to people in
the market.

I wasn't aware that I mentioned any miracles. Is it a miracle that anelder in
Australia or in New Mexico
can communicate with those
who are under their tutelage out in the Desert, miles away. The monkey
info is standard scientific stuff about co-incidents. I tend to think that
there is a connection that we can't yet quantify or explain. I have
experienced that in ensembles that depend upon hyper sensitivity for
safety and connections on stage. I have seen blind improvisation on
stage accomplish things that can only be described as another type
of communication. But I don't think of them as miracles.

We have two rules, be observant and know everything. Try that one
one for size.
