As the recent White Paper on International Development argues, global challenges such as eliminating poverty and preserving a sustainable environment cannot be addressed by national governments alone. Global challenges require cooperation, not just between states but also between people of different states, forming a global community. "Global social justice" is a new forum devoted to the development of practical and imaginative ideas to respond to global challenges. This forum has been developed as part of NEXUS, a UK-based organization of people with an interest in contributing to the development of public policy. We would like to invite you - as a policy-maker, an academic, an activist, or a global citizen - to participate. If you have a web-browser, point it at http://www.netnexus.org/themes/global/index.html to find out more. If you don't have a web browser you can subscribe to the e-mail discussion list by sending the message: subscribe GLOBAL to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You will then receive an e-mail introducing you to the forum. Thanks for your attention. We look forward to hearing from you.
