>From Vivian Hutchinson --

Hello Futurework, Ced-Net, Toes97 and Unemployment Network
friends.

A colleague of mine here in New Zealand will be in Birmingham for
the TOES 98 conference / People's Summit / G8 world leaders
summit (on 15-17 May) and staying on for a week afterwards in the
Birmingham/ London area.

She is Jan Francis, a manager of the Local Employment
Co-ordination committee networks which exist throughout NZ, and
also has extensive experience in community action on employment
issues. A fuller biographical note about Jan is at the end of
this letter.

Jan's interest in attending the Birmingham conference is to find
out what the G8 leaders have to say about practical and pragmatic
solutions to our unemployment problems, and also to tap into the
wisdom of the TOES / People's Summit networks to see what the
leading edges of thinking are on this issue today.

I am writing to see if anyone else on futurework, ced-net, or the
UK unemployment list are intending to be at Birmingham, and would
like to meet with Jan to especially network on employment /
unemployment issues and the future of work.

If you write back to me, I will forward the messages to Jan (as
she is at present travelling).

Yours
Vivian Hutchinson
