This unique, two-day event will combine process with product:
The outcome will be a set of strategies, useable models, and
skill sets/competencies for libraries to follow in order to
become actively involved in local economic development.
* Experts in libraries and economic development will come from
a wide range of countries and backgrounds. Countries represented
to date include the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States,
Canada, Australia and Zimbabwe.
* Strategies and models will be identified and developed jointly
by the speakers and participants.
* The process: A lively combination of expert presentations and
dialogues, audience involvement, and interactive participant
sessions.
* The product: A set of relevant, flexible and practical strategies
and models.
