NATIONAL TOWN MEETING FOR A SUSTAINABLE AMERICA

Across America, communities, businesses and organizations are
finding ways to achieve economic prosperity and a high quality of
life without sacrificing our environmental or social goals.
People and organizations are working together to grow and develop
to meet the needs of present generations without compromising the
ability of future generations to meet their needs.

These sustainable projects and practices are working to create a
better today and tomorrow and are the focus of the upcoming
National Town Meeting for a Sustainable America to be held in
Detroit, Michigan on May 2-5. This event spotlight successful
sustainable actions that can be replicated elsewhere.
Simultaneous events will also occur in communities across America
and will connect with the Detroit meeting through interactive
technologies.

You are invited to become involved in the following ways.

     1. Attend the National Town Meeting in Detroit.
     2. Register an event in your organization or community to
be listed as an "affiliated events" happening across
          the country.
     3. Showcase your business or community's work at the
          National Town Meeting Exhibit Hall.
     4. Make a commitment to sustainability, such as recycling,
buying locally grown organic food or forming a new
partnership with a variety of stakeholders to address
the "livability" and quality of life needs of your
community. These commitments will be the building
          block of a Sustainable America.
