Hello.

It's interesting that the thread is about the privatization of knowledge,
while it was always my belief that knowledge is a private concept (to be
distinguished from the propounding of beliefs and ideas in a public
sphere).  Actions based upon knowledge may be done by more or less public
actors under more or less public authority, but the knowledge within their
brains when they make their decisions is a uniquely private item.
