About abiotic oil article...
This has been around for AGES. There may very well be some truth in it, tho' to present it as the only route to liguid or gaseous hyrdrocarbons has a very clear agenda, as there is too much evidence that HCs are also of biologic origins. As in most complex geo-biotic systems, probably an eclectic mix!
HOWEVER, what is corporate propaganda is to present something as having immediate enough effects to "solve" the fuel (note not energy...) crisis.
By the time abiotic processes have accumulated enough to be extractable and useable for an industrial society similar to our model, I suspect we will have been zapped by another asteroid/lava sheet supervolcano/cosmic dustcloud (or whatever idiocies we get up to as a species), and your guess as to who will be the next new "mammal" on the reptile block is as good as my mine....
So the worst form of manipulation. _______________________________________________ Futurework mailing list [email protected] http://fes.uwaterloo.ca/mailman/listinfo/futurework
