So far, China is going in the opposite direction: from bicycles to
infernal-combustion gas-guzzler cars, not even leapfrogging to the
latest low-emission/hybrid cars.  Note that traffic is the largest
energy-consumer in developed countries, more than heating.
Let's see how China _will_ "adopt the concepts wholeheartedly"...
