Agree.  From the land of Brundtland and the oxymoron "sustainable" development, 
renewables would be a good idea.

Sounds like an Orwellian joke -- like most things under the
title of economic "ethics".  I mean, isn't it obvious that
the most ethical investment for this vast sum today would be
the many --quite promising-- inventions for renewable energies?
To get started, these new technologies need big advance funding,
until they are mature enough for cheap mass production.  What
would be more suitable for this branch than state oil funds?

But it seems that the Norwegian gov't prefers to continue
cashing in on oil as long as possible -- this would stop if the
alternatives become viable.  How _ethical_ is this decision?
