Canwest News Service reported that Brattleboro, Vermont, is to vote on a resolution today directing their local member of Congress to file articles of impeachment against Bush in the House of Representatives.

If this passes, "Brattleboro will join five other Vermont towns that have already approved measures this year urging Congress to push Bush from the White House."

Al Gore is cited as one of a few high-profile Democrats who have determined that Bush has committed impeachable offences, but most congressional Dem's in Washington are not responding to possible political suicide attached to impeachment of a president in a time of "war", let alone upcoming November elections. Reprimanding the president was the extent of the consequences that a recent Dem proposal packed over domestic eavesdropping without first obtaining a warrant, but when Feingold presented it, it was met with stony silence.
