Sounds reasonable to me. (Not that it has anything to do with "free
markets", I also note.)
What America could do to "get out gracefully", of course, is to say that
the Bush regime was an aberration that somehow happened here, and that
we were going to get back on a more reasonable track. Throw out
the whole new-con crew -- disown them, and Europe (and others?) might
give us another
chance.
