python has left two of the deadliest predators dead in Florida's swamps.*
The Burmese python tried to swallow its fearsome rival whole but then
exploded....
the alligator may have clawed at the python's stomach, leading it to burst.
This story obviously relates more to the "dog eat dog" aspect of
competition than the "rat race" aspect (a rat would have had no chance
against either
of the entrepreneurs involved, I hypothesize).
