There is a misunderstanding.

I was referring to politicians dealing with the future of work. In that
context both FTA and NAFTA are relevant.

Re: Iraq. I have no idea what is going on. It is probably some version
of Vietnam all over again. (as a historical note we should recall that
it JFK and brother RFK who got us into Vietnam lo those many years
ago....)

So, Arthur, you would accept the argument that the destabilization of,
and
killing and chaos in Iraq was achieved by people who had that purpose in
mind, and not by their 'stupidity'?

Cheers,
Lawry

I agree with Chris on this one.

Clinton and Reich understood what FTA and NAFTA was all about. But they
agreed to go along with the corporate agenda. The political elites know
that factory towns all over the US are in trouble and vow to do
"something" about it. But they don't. They blame it all on an
exogenous variable called globalization.

Methinks you're again confusing stupidity with deliberate,
well-calculated
recklessness. With all the billion$ involved, how can one believe that
those with real power leave it up to coincidences or even to stupid
hands?

Chris
