Hey kid,

As I said in the other post, you had a perfect right to
lash out.

It was my fault for being unclear thus giving you the wrong
impression.

I didn't notice because criticizing you wasn't anywhere in
my thoughts.

With regard to my provocation, this is sometimes necessary
rather like hitting the mule with a two by four because you
need to get its attention.

Looking at the left from my radical position, it seems to
me that highly inaccurate ideas are spread around the
internet and through the lists. They all talk to each other
and, during the process, statements that are actually lies
are reinforced and become facts.

A good example was the last John Hopkins survey of civilian
deaths. I didn't get a single answer to my oft repeated
statement. "If the survey is correct, 1,000 civilians a day
should be dying in Iraq from violence. This would produce
about 1,000 funerals and probably 7,000 family mourners.

That's every day.

Where is the evidence that such a carnage is taking place -
even though the bastards are killing women and children
every day? The answer is that there is no evidence, which
makes the survey highly suspect to an impartial observer.

But, nowadays there seem to be few impartial observers.

So, perhaps I can be of use as a somewhat impartial
observer - in this case of the left. (I do it to the right,
too.)

But, believe me, I think your contributions to Futurework
are great - though I will continue to hit hard the people
you cite if they need it.

I will also criticize what you say if I think you need it -
but never as less than a friend.

Harry
