The messages I have archived don't *have* a Reply-To: header. They have: From: "subscriber's-real-name" <[email protected]> and Sender: [email protected] Errors-To: [email protected] To: [email protected] Note that last one: Not To: you. So it's probably the configuration of your software that is replying to the address in the From: header. My mailer (GNU-Emacs) replies to both the From: address and the To: address (iff the latter is *not* my own address.) In the case of replying to FutureWork or similar lists, I manually delete the personal address of the individual sender from the outgoing To: field. Possibly the list manager could *add* a Reply-To: header to simplify this for both of us. But it would still depend on whether or not the configuration of your mailer software honored the Reply-To: header. FWIW - Mike PS: M.Blackmore: Would it be acceptable, despite my Left-pondian status, for me to subscribe to the Oxlug list and ask for help? I have a Linux problem that so far has proved too gnarly for me and same (or at least uninteresting) for those to whom I occasionally turn for advice. And you seem to have a couple of Wizards in the LUG. -- Michael Spencer Nova Scotia, Canada .~. /V\ [email protected] /( )\ http://home.tallships.ca/mspencer/ ^^-^^ _______________________________________________ Futurework mailing list [email protected] https://lists.uwaterloo.ca/mailman/listinfo/futurework
