Actually, Chavez' reference to Merkel shows that he is NOT talking about
"censoring internet", but simply saying that the Internet must not be a
lawless space, in which e.g. libel at will can be allowed.

And regarding "who's obviously not read any history":  At least Chavez
had read enough history (or even experienced it in his own family) to have
the guts to stand up to the king of Spain on that imperial conference when
the king (of a supposedly "free democracy") tried to CENSOR Chavez, in a
clear act of imperial power misuse.

But of course, the cave-men deem censorship by a king okay...  but when a
man of the people wants to stop imperialist lies, he's an "evil censor"...
